OOC: This is my first roleplay (hopefully of many). The rules are thus: 1) All replies are to be made over the forum. 2) The purpose of this roleplay is to cooperatively create and execute a plot. As the creator, I have my plans and will try to lead the plot in that direction, but so too should each of you. If we are attentive and flexible, this will be a successful blend of our ideas. The planning thread is here. 3) To ensure cooperation, refrain from: a) Creating characters that prevent others from enjoying this roleplay b) Controlling the characters of fellow roleplayers in ways opposite to normal behavior. c) Destructive criticism of your fellow roleplayers 4) This roleplay is freeform. This means I do not care which characters you use (you can even play as your RO characters, if you wish) or what (mix) of time period(s) is (are) involved. I don't even need a character sheet as long as your character is mentioned in your initial post. However, to enforce Rule 3), I may require certain roleplayers to comply with additional requirements, including removal from the roleplay in the most extreme case. Have fun, everyone! IC: On a clear afternoon, overlooking a forest flanked by a riverbend, a silver disk suddenly appeared in the sky. Like a dragonfly pursuing prey, the spinning disk darted across the blue sky, bouncing from one patch of sky to the next. Like the wings of the dragonfly, the craft's skin sparkled with a tiny rainbow in each pore. Just as suddenly, the spinning stopped. The glitter faded, leaving behind a uniform coat of metallic grey. The silver pancake tilted over and began to fall: down, down, and down some more at ever gathering speed. Halfway to the ground, a hatch opened up from the disk's top, ejecting a brown-haired boy. "Oh dear, oh dear, this isn't good. Please don't tell me the capacitors died again! What will I tell the Roadmaster? Especially if he finds out I wrecked the village lifter. Father Sky, please...." As the boy whsipered his prayer, the parachute opened to slow his fall, but his worried frenzy raced on. "Ok, Sren, calm down; you can fix this. Just have to find the locals, get some metal, and use their smithworks. If the last place had mind setters, then even if this isn't Furon, there must be someone who can..." A loud crunch quickly dispelled the boy's hope. Kicking his legs frantically to avoid landing on the crash site, he could only swallow his horror as the disk, now crumpled on an entire side, feebly made one last spin, uprooting saplings in its dying lurch, and collapsed onto the forest floor with a final thud. Having landed in a nearby clearing, Sren wiped the tears and snot that ran freely across his face, too numb to even speak.

*One day relaxing by the forest area around Payon, Scarlet Blood note a shiny object in the sky - for a moment he thought was only his imagination, but soon he discovered it was something else, the object seemed to be getting bigger by the second and instead of flying it was falling. Scarlet Blood got up and followed the unidentified flying object with his eyes until it had fallen on a clearing near by. Scarlet Blood decided to investigate, he cloaked himself and started to move to the crash site*

"Has it really been one year?" thought Puga, the Guillotine Cross, when he saw that he was out of basic supplies. As part of his ordeal to become a worth member of the Assassins of the Cross (again), he swore he would spent 5 years in the Sograt Desert, coming back to the city once every 365 days to stock on survival tools. Not food, not water, not even medicines. To ensure this, a member of the Assassins of the Cross had been designated with the task.
"Well, if there is nothing left... I guess I'll have to stop by Payon's hiding place." And as those words crossed his minds, he saw it. A huge, round thing went cutting the sky and into the distant Payon's forests. Too close to the Hiding Spot. The young man felt that it was his duty to investigate further, and since he was already planning to go there, it wouldn't suppose a big deal to him.
From his current location, in the place known as Sograt Desert, 3rd sector, it would still take him around 4 hours to get to the crashing spot.

Tank was resting in the cool grass under a large tree. He was having the best if dreams when suddenly a large object falls out of the sky and hits him on the head. "Ouch!!! What the heck was that?"
He leaps to his feet rubbing the massive knot on the top of his head. He reaches for the small sword on his hip. drawing it he pokes at the crumpled craft. "Is it dead?" he asks giving a few more hardy pokes.

Dabbie silently stalked through the forest that surrounded Payon, keeping close to the target that he had been shadowing for several days. He cared little for who the woman was or what she did, the guild wanted the woman dead and had given Dabbie the job to ensure her assassination.
Both were surprised at the sight of the strange object that was crashing down into the forest, yet Dabbie quickly recovered from the shocked and rushed to his target while the woman was distracted. With a quick flick of the wrist, he sent a poison knife towards his target and with a light thud, the knife landed directly into the back of her neck. The woman fell down lifeless, and Dabbie quickly rushed over to her and retrieved the thrown knife, the whole ordeal only took a handful of seconds, enough for Dabbie to look up again and see the object crash down into the forest.
He knew that he had to report on the success of his mission, but the object intrigued the assassin, and after a quick inner debate with himself, he figured a quick peek wouldn't hurt anyone. Besides, the guild might want more information about this thing, so why not find out more about it now that he was right near it?
He quickly set off on a light jog in the direction of the fallen object.

As the dribble of tears slowed, Sren dragged himself towards the wreck, his feet slowed by denial. The work of his entire village, the work of six years of his friends, his family, and himself, all gone because of his reckless stupidity. It couldn't be true, but as his shoes tapped the lifeless metal, no longer humming with iridescence, reality left nothing to deny. With his eyes finally clear, Sren looked ahead: on the other side of the disk where it had first struck the earth and crumpled from the impact, a swordsman was stabbing the craft. No longer thinking, Sren rushed over, animated by fear and rage. "No, no, no, no!!!! Don't do that! The floater has taken enough damage, don't hurt it more! Please stop, or....I'll shoot!" With trembling hands, Sren drew his assault rifle from its holster and pointed it at the swordsman.

*As Scarlet Blood arrives the scene of the accident he sees the scene where a lowly swords man was threatened by what it looked to him to be a Gunslinger.*
*He rushes to the Gunslinger and holds his rifle down as not to allow him to shoot at the swordsman* *as he grabs the rifle, he slowly re-appears next to the Gusnlinger* ... What do you think you are doing ? If you want to fight someone you have to go to the Arena ... *his eyes sharply moves to the swordsman*
This is no monster for you to train with, go away before it Kills you ... *Scarlet Blood releases the Rifle but still carefully analysing the Gunslinger actions*

The frontier between the desert and Payon's forest drew close as the Guillotine Cross' speed increased. Now that he was at a smaller distance, he was pretty sure that, whatever the flying object was, it had landed very close to -or even into- the Hiding Place. The young man reached for the bridge, and still sweating because of the dry hotness he crossed it, stepping into a humid climate that made him long for the desert again.
"Ugh, I can't stand this. And it will probably be full of Insects as well..." he complained.
[Approximately 1h until Puga arrives to the Crash site]

Tank lowers his sword. How could anyone threaten to shoot a child he thought to himself as he stood there. Tank stood only three feet tall, his brown messy hair whipping in the breeze. "Give me your best shot!" He yells at the man with the gun. "This monster tried to eat me!"

Dabbie slowed down and came to a stop near where the object had crashed, it was large and silvery, made from metal, and yet for all his years living in the Schwartzvald Republic, it was something that was completely alien and unfamiliar to him. He noticed three figures bickering, two with weapons out, and one with a weapon pointed to the other.
"This could get serious and bloody very fast" he murmured to himself. "Gotta try and quickly defuse this"
He quickly and audibly stepped out from the underbrush, making sure that the others could hear him coming and quickly raised his hands in an attempt to appear unarmed, although he still had a supply of poison knives hidden across his body that he could access and use in mere heartbeats.
Hands raised he put on a cheerful facade, and with a big smile and a cheerful tone, he called out to the trio that was assembled.
"Woah there fellas, how about we try not to murder each other this fine day? It would be a shame if twitchy trigger fingers or nervous swordsman got at least one of us killed!"

OOC: Sorry for the late reply.
IC: As Sren's anger cooled, he finally noticed that on the other side of his Stormflash-7 was a boy half his size and seemingly half his age. In fact, it could have been himself just a few years ago, wielding a sword that more resembled a toy than an actual weapon. Sren relaxed; this was no enemy. But before he could lower his gun voluntarily, a force tugged his gun downwards towards his body. Instinctively, Sren struggled against the pull, but a red-haired man in a fedora materialized in front of him and issued a stern warning. "Aaah! Who...how...who are you? And how did you do that?" Letting go of his gun, Sren's breath quickened. The stranger's sudden appearance had struck fear into Sren's heart. Dodging the man's gaze, Sren stooped to retrieve his gun, but before his hands found his mark, a new voice urging peace made Sren jump. The deep voice was as sudden as a wintry draft, the forced cheer only adding to the tension. Most unnerving of all, the newest stranger, like the last, had pink hair and eyes. "No way," Sren thought, "he's not a demon, is he? Those eyes look just like..." "This monster tried to eat me!" Pointing at the wreck, the child stared defiance into Sren's eyes, having finally overcome his fear of the strangers around him. "I'm sorry, kid, I didn't mean to hurt you. It was a mistake." Retrieving his gun and placing it back into its holster, Sren continued, "I am Sren. I am a bad pilot. I sent this floater out from my village for some fun and I messed up. I'm sorry if I hurt you with the floater, kid, but I really didn't mean it. But please stop stabbing it. It's not a monster; it's a machine and I broke it. Please don't make it worse. If I don't return home soon with it fixed, the whole village will be furious."

High in the treetops surrounding Payon a ranger sat quietly, her fingers twisting this way and that as she carved a trunk with her small knife. The disturbance that soon occurred would not escape her notice, but as she was some distance from the place the strange object had crashed, she could not be sure what she faced.
"Go fly ahead, tell me what you find." Bronwyn said softly to her falcon, Orion. As soon as the falcon had left she twisted herself and slide down the great tree with all the grace and skill one would expect from one of Payon's own. The walk would not be terribly far, and it gave Orion plenty of time to return. She headed in the direction of the crash, bow in hand, for whatever she might find.

*Scarlet Blood looks puzzled by the boys reaction and by what he had just said*
What do you mean "How did you do that?" ? - I am an assassin boy ...
*He eyes the assassin that just arrived keeping his Poker face on he takes his attention from the boy and focus on the assassin*
.... *He places his hand in his Katar-holders and grab a hold of his Katars but keep them there and ready for action if the Assassin makes a sudden move*

Tank sheathed his word with a metallic click. He only looked to be about 5 years of age, and yet was out here in the forest alone, or at least he was alone. "Well I guess since you said you were sorry I will forgive you, But that really hurt." he rubs the large knot on the top of his head. Did he really get hit by this silver disk? and if so how did he only have a large bump on his head? He walks towards the strangers extending his right hand. "Hi I'm Tank, whats your name?"

Dabbie was inwardly relieved when he saw the weapons being lowered and no longer pointed at anyone, it looked like there wasn't going to be any bloodshed right now. He slowly put his hands down with a relieved chuckle.
"Well then, it now looks like that no one is trying to kill each other, that's some good progress so far"
He quickly gave everyone a once over, to ensure that everything is fine right now, when he noticed Scarlet Blood quietly move his hands onto his katars.
"Careful there guildsman" Dabbie said to Scarlet Blood "I have no quarrel with you, or anyone here, I'm just sating a bit of curiosity before I return to the guild."
He turned to face Sren, although he was rapidly looking between Sren and the metal object, rapt in fascination for whatever the thing was.
"Nice to meet ya Sren, I'm Dabbie, and I am fascinated with that thing you crashed in on, a floater you called it? I've spent a few years in the Schwartzvald Republic, and I have never seen something like this, and considering that Schwartzvald is the most technologically advanced nation out of it, Rune-Midgarts and the Arunafeltz States, that is saying something"
