Shadowstitch isn't what anyone would...even loosely refer to as, disciplined, attentive, a good student, ambitious or even use her name in the same breath as any of those words. Born and raised just outside of Izlude she lived the life of a farmgirl, never dreaming of marrying a handsome knight, or becoming some kind of well known hero. She was, for lack of better words, lazy. Though her parents insisted she just never really found something that spoke to her on a deeper level. She spent her days dozing in the sun, hiding in the orchards or chasing the animals on the family farm.
When she was finally old enough to make her own way in life her parents' understanding attitude towards her lazy nature had a full on change. She was enrolled in the Criatura Academy without delay where she promptly flunked out of every class she tried, and to her credit, she did try.
Poor girl never had the head for numbers like a merchant should. Somehow she managed to bankrupt her training business within two days, thankfully it was only on paper or she'd still be working off her debt. She was an absolute disaster when it came to the forces of nature that mages wielded with ease. I believe the words of the professor was 'Nuisance, complete incompetent that defied the law of averages of even the most basic of people of Rune Midgard had some magic aptitude'. She lasted, to my amazement, a whole five minutes in the acolyte training before being chased out by a flustered red faced priestess swinging a sword-mace.
When it came to the more martial skills she showed *some* promise, note that i said some there. Couldn't swing a sword to save her life, let alone end that of the target dummy, Though to her instructor's dismay I don't think his nose will never heal straight. She showed a reluctance to do more unseemly work like the thieves do, though she did like that the knives were lighter and actually had some aptitude with them. As for archers....well I promised the instructor that I wouldn't tell anyone what happened. Needless to say, she has good aim, just poor control over a bow.
When all seemed lost our agents reached out to her. Showed her the way to our clan and brought her into the group. This is where she excelled finally. Adept with knives, and her good aim has made her into a demon with the kunai that we supply to her. She is even showing a bit of talent for the shadowy powers we wield. Though sometimes it seems she likes to use them to goof off or evade her chores. When members have mocked her due to her youthful looks, or questioned her skill she becomes aggressive, combative and has on occasion put the doubts to rest. She still has much to learn but I believe that with time and patience, as well as stern guidance now and then, Shadowstitch may well become one of our more capable members.
