The time has come! Project X has reached fruition, and will now be called Compass.
This is a Dungeons and Dragons 5th Ed. game that will be run over RC. You can download a free rules PDF Here
If you wish to play you will need to sign up by replying to this post, The first six (6) people that reply wishing to join will fill out the party. If for any reason someone decides to quit I will move down the list!
To play you must have a mic, we are going to play over voice chat in RC.
If you do not get into the party you are still welcome to join the Compass channel during the game, but you will be asked not to use voice.
The first session will be held this Saturday night at 9 pm EST, and will be held every other Saturday to follow. Please be aware that the times may change if things come up, but a post will be made in the Forum to let everyone know.
Now a little bit about the setting.
The world in this game is a large dust bowl. No one knows how this came to be, and if they do they are not talking. Most of the civilized world lives on a mountain chain known as Compass. The whole of Compass is under the rule of one man. For the most part life is good on Compass, there are springs that well up deep from within the rock to sustain life here.
Outside of Compass is a desolate waste land of dry desert and danger, but here and there one can find hidden Oasis, or other similar places with life. It is very dangerous to travel the deserts as it is easy to get lost, die of starvation, dehydration, animal attacks or Bandits. If any travel through the deserts is done people use large ships with wheels and sails.
Metal is scarce in this world most weapons and armors are made from natural resources. Metal and other treasures can still be found though in the deep ruins of the past. Coinage in Compass is made of marked and glazed bits of colored clay, most old metal coins are seized by the Nobles and Ruler of Compass.
The only race that is seldom seen in Compass are Elves. In this setting Elves are very rarely seen. Those who stumble upon their hidden regions seldom live to tell the tale.
For more information on the setting of this game you can look Google Dark Sun. This is not Dark Sun but is heavily inspired by it. I will try to answer as many questions here as I can about the world, which I am still building, as I can without giving to much story away. Most character questions will be answered on Saturday when we build them.
I am looking forward to getting to know more of you through this, and don't worry everyone will get a chance to play! I intend to form and run as many parties as we need.
Party List:
1:Bryn
2:Scarlet
